THE BEST FAMILY VACATION EVER...WE ARE READY TO RETURN!! Alegria Villa-Private Pool Date: Nov 1, 2007  A group of 8 of us stayed there this past weekend and had SO MUCH fun! It's located in a very secluded gated area. You don't even have to leave the Villa to entertain yourself. It has a fantastic sound system that also can be turned on outside as well. We immediately put the private pool and spa to use, had several meals outside in the comfortable eating area, walked along the private beach that goes on for miles, saw lots of sea life including blue crabs and several types of fish. The famous Rocky Point shops and restaurants are just minutes away. You won't be disappointed...I can't wait to go back and stay there again! Alegria Villa-Private Pool Date: Sep 27, 2007  The most glorious vacation I’ve ever been on. The rooms were spacious, the scenery was gorgeous, and we were treated like royalty from the staff. I was a bit hesitant to drive in Mexico, but found the drive from Sonorita to Rocky Point very safe, with a wide road and good visibility. Some said it would be too hot in July, but to the contrary – the beach was perfect and the air conditioned Villa was quite comfortable. My grandchildren loved the pool and spa and when they weren’t in the pool they were at the beach, where we discovered various sea creatures including a small octopus. When the children tired of the delicious sea-food offered everywhere, they got to eat at the Burger King in town. For the young at heart, there are numerous clubs, parasailing, and boat rides. We definitely will be going again. It’s a perfect vacation for children, teens, and adults. There’s something for everyone at Rocky Point! Apreciar la Vida Date: Feb 1, 2010  While it was generally a very nice house, when we stayed there last summer there was not sufficient A/C in the downstairs rooms and it was unpleasantly warm- it only had a single window unit for two large bedrooms. Close to the beach, it was awesome. People at Oceano very friendly. House hads plenty of room, everthing you needed was there. The kids loved it too. When the kids got crazy, they went downstairs to the two bedrooms there. We turned on satellite radio and had a cocktail while cooking dinner outside on the patio grill. The beach is so close and safe that the kids (12/13) could go there by themselves with no worries. The gated community is clean and quiet and we felt very comfortable there. Apreciar la Vida Date: Aug 27, 2007  This house is GREAT! The first time we came down we rented the trailer behind the house because it was cheaper. We actually met the owners of Apreciar La Vida at the beach and were pleasantly surprised to find it listed online when we decided to come back in May. The house has all the creature comforts of home, it's close to town, and a short walk to the beach. The neighbors are nice and Ocean Rentals was helpful and easy to rent from (online!). The two bedrooms on seperate floors of the house is nice for couples to get away and still have privacy. We will be back soon! Apreciar la Vida Date: May 29, 2007  Our 3 day stay in this home was wonderful. The home was like new in every way. The 50 yard walk to the beach made it very easy to go back and forth for supplies and comfort items, and to get out of the sun when necessary. The guest suite was perfect for the kids (12/14) and to let us get some rest! The drive to town was always a quick pleasure and we will definitely return to stay here again. My favorite part was watching the tide come in and out just yards away during our stay with unobstructed 180 degree views of the sea from the huge windows. If you plan on bringing a lot of guests get ready to be entertained. We have rented 9 bedroom vilas and the two of us needed escape time on ths particular trip so it was time to downsize. I still have no complaints and felt as if we were in Paradise at a smaler scale. I LOVE working with Oceano, particularly David. He is always ready to assist me and I can not think of anything about his customer service that has entered my thoughts except positive encounters. I am looking forward to staying there again in 2009 Dream by the Sea Date: Jan 7, 2009  this house is to die for, privacy,large rooms, best beach,lots of bathrooms,it doesnot get any better,this is party capital Dream by the Sea Date: Jul 4, 2008  This is a beautiful house -- with a little more maintenance care, it would be a fabulous beach home. However, Oceano was quick to respond to our complaints of ants in the kitchen and the lack of water coming out of the kitchen sink facet. Just don't plan on using the "gas" BBQ, as it is doesn't work. Also, bring plenty of your own drinking water, as there was a dirty empty 5 gallon bottle available for us to refill in the city, but we would have prefered a clean 5 gallon water jug on a STAND where it would have been usable. For this much money, this should come standard with the house. Some of the blinds were torn in the house, as well as some of the sheets. The house needed a thorough cleaning and painting, but maybe these are maintenance things that will be done this summer. All in all, a nice house but it should have been better maintained for the money they are charging. Oceano was very nice to work with however. It was great being able to watch satellite TV and movies on the DVD and VCR. I called our kids in the US to wish them a happy Thanksgiving for free. We were able to acces the Internet with our laptops. The view of the Sea of Cortez from the top floor and balcony was fabulous! You can tell the house has wonderful owners who love and take good care of the house. Oceano was wonderful to deal with. They came out quickly when we needed help with the tv, stove and towels. We absolutely loved our vacation home on both occasions! 11 adults enjoyed this very spacious, beautifully decorated home with ample room for relaxing and lounging! We loved it here. La Buena Onda Date: May 3, 2010  May 1, 2010; We stayed at La Buena Onda for a midweek visit at the end of April and would certainly recommend it. We literally had the beach to ourselves! The unit is clean and comfortable and the setting is wonderful. The balcony overlooks not only the Sea of Cortez but also a beautifully landscaped backyard, arguably the nicest on the peninsula. There is now a staircase leading to the beach so there is no longer any need to risk life and limb getting to the beach. We will definitely stay here again. La Buena Onda Date: Apr 6, 2010  We stayed here on Easter weekend 2010...I am particular and also can not say enough about this property. If you do not want to cook, this is the place. Totally clean and furnished well, and the bar in the pictures is ideal. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10 and definitely stay there again. The only nitpick I have is that to actually get down to the beach you have to be able to jump off a concrete staircase with about a 4-foot drop into the sand, but it wasn't an issue. Having the seperate downstairs allowed late-nighters to keep partying while early birds went to bed. The beach is fantastic! The high-speed internet was aslo great. We highly recommend it. The only thing that needs attention is the bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. The mattress is very uncomfortable. Other than that it is spectacular. Security was tight which is what I expect. We were there with 2 kids. The only bad thing was the POOLS ARE NOT HEATED. We were there in April and they were colder than the sea. Las Brisas #3 Date: Oct 23, 2007  My family and I stayed here at the end of September and were very impressed with the interior of the condo. The layout is interesting, with one of the bedrooms having a separate entrance from the main house, which was perfect for the in-laws. It was very clean and well furnished. They didn't cheap out on the linens and towels, which I really appreciated. The only complaint I have is that we had no satellite TV, internet, or phone service while we were there. I feel that if you're going to advertise these services you should provide them. We also had no electricity the last night there, which really sucked. It was really hot and muggy without AC or fans. Or water, since the pump is electric. With these issues aside, this is a great place to stay and we would definitely stay there again. Las Brisas #3 Date: Jun 18, 2007  I had the opportunity to stay here over Memorial Day weekend and what a blast we had. The condo is spectacular (too nice for a rental in my opinion). All the ammenities of home and then some. For this condo it's all about the location - You go out the front door and your just steps from the main drag where all the clubs are located - You go out the back door and your literally steps from the beach. This place ROCKS!! Las Palmas #14 Date: Mar 6, 2009  I absolutley LOVED this condo! I stayed here with all of my friends! TONS of room. Mariposa is a wonderful place to stay. Mariposa Date: Jul 28, 2007  We had a July 2007 visit to Mariposa. The beach was very quiet and pretty-beautiful sunsets. The house was disappointing-needs a lot of updating. Patio set and grill were ancient and falling apart. Sliding door was falling apart and locked us out, but maintenance was very quick to repair. Oceano: As a result to your feedback, we spoke with the owners of Mariposa and are currently remodeling it, with an expected finish date of October 1, 2007. Nirvana - Guest House Date: Mar 18, 2010  Perfect short rental for two. Good points: comfy bed, huge open shower and air works great. Down points: refrigerator makes some noises, hot water heater is in bedroom and ran at night, microwave had a few buttons that didn't work and there is no cookware for the oven portion of the stove. Huge houses on either side and behind could make for a loud visit. We got lucky during spring break and had no one around us. We turned off the water heater before going to bed and shut the bedroom door to buffer the sounds from the refrigerator. In my opinion, the rental would benefit with a smaller kitchen table for two. There is no sofa, but it has two comfy chairs. Moving the refrigerator to the cut out space below cabinets would open up space small for a love seat. Nirvana - Guest House Date: Mar 9, 2010  My girl friend and I stayed in Nirvana Guest House March 2010 for five nights. The view and beach access was unmatched anywhere in the area. The guesthouse was a lovely, romantic, roomy getaway. However, the owner or the managers at Oceano, need to do a little maintenance. The pipes in the shower are occluded to the point that the water comes out as a trickle and the kitchen faucet is broken, so that it onlu works in spray mode and makes a mess all over the counters. We never could get the tv to work, but we weren't there to watch tv. Overall, I will definitely return to Nirvana, as well as do business with Oceano, as they are very professional, friendly and helpful. Gordon K. Ole Date: May 9, 2010  We stayed at Ole about 3 years ago and we enjoyed it very much. We are going back this June for a whole week of fun!!!...Can't wait. The Oceano folks are professional and well organized and the house was 'as advertised' with well stocked kitchen amenities, outdoor furniture, and extra towels. Will rent again from them for sure. The condo is about 20 steps to the water. The neighbors were all so friendly and fun! The condo is very nice and clean and very well equipped. I would go back again! It’s really a great place for kids, teens and adults. We have had all kinds of weather and still enjoyed our stays. The water has always been clear and the waves are fun to play in, but when the tide is rough you always have the pool. When the tide is out we play bocce ball, volleyball, hunt crabs or just sit in the shallow water and relax. The beach is full of sea shells and the kids love building sand castles or just do some snorkeling. Everything is close, so you can sit out on the patio and watch the older kids at the beach without worry. If it rains you still have the internet available (provide your own computer) and TV, so you can watch movies. It’s the best kept secret and probably the hardest thing to do was to write about how great it is! …it’s our own private paradise.” Paradise Villas #09 Date: Jun 29, 2009  Best Kept Secret! Paradise Villas #09 Date: Dec 14, 2007  this is one of the ones you would like to own. Paradise Villas #10 Date: Jul 21, 2007  We spent 5 nights here in July 2007. This property is beautiful! The pool is awesome and everything is maintained really well. I have never had such a comfy bed in a Mexico rental. The beach is a bit of a hike though from the property so bew prepared for that. The kitchen has very little counterspace but has a dsihwasher! I was told the water is filtered and they have their own generator. Many owners were there staying in their property so that was nice too. It is about a 20 minute drive to the edge of town but worth it. Paradise Villas #16 Date: Mar 11, 2009  We stayed at this condo and found it to be bright and cheerful and truly Mexican in decor. The ocean is very close and mostly calm. The beach is not busy at all and the seashells are plentiful to say the least. Paradise Villas #17 Date: Apr 19, 2007  We have reserved this unit again for this comming october. We stayed last year same time and it was great. I would like to note that we do have kids and the only thing wrong last year was that the satelite dish did not work and we did not have TV reception. I would hope that a year later that this issue has been fixed. Watching TV over the ocean is not on our list----but it sure does help wind the kids down at night before bedtime. Inside is tastfully decorated (lots of tile), rooms are spacious with a bathroom for each room plus and extra downstairs. The beach is nice with no rocks. Playa Arcadia Date: May 27, 2008  Spectacular! Worth every penny! Spacious, nicely decorated, and views, views, views! Even a view from bed! This one is a winner. Gia, Phoenix Playa Arcadia Date: Sep 10, 2007  We have 3 families that travel to Rocky Point every year. We all have younger children. This house was the perfect size to accomidate all of us comfortably. The house is beautiful and is perfect. The AC unit works very well and the dishwasher/washer/dryer is vey handy. The house is very clean, the rooms are large and it's right on the beach for an affordable price. We highly recommend this property and you won't be disappointed! Playa Romantica Date: Jul 16, 2008  I'm glad we found this house again. My kids and I created the most wonderful memories in this house. Before was named Las Mareas #2. And know we are going back............We had a rule, from the moment you arrived showers and brushing up wasn't require....you could imagine the rest, sunsets, pasta, and mom and the kids in the background......ah!!!!! and peace........ Playa Romantica Date: Mar 22, 2008  3/22/08: Very quiet, and right at the beach! The home was wonderful for two couples and both bedrooms have great views of the sea. Stove and one shower didn't work but we survived. Serenidad Date: Jun 11, 2009  Serenidad is a terrific place to relax and enjoy the sun and sand. We stayed for five nights around the first of April. We enjoyed seeing the dolphins and pelicans right from the deck. I would not hesitate to stay there again, as it was an excellent deal. One can buy tamales and burritos from the vendors who occasionally come by. No need to even go into town! Villa dei Sogni #2 Date: May 15, 2010  LOVE THIS HOUSE...dosent campare do any other house. Feels like if your at home! :)..Definately going back! Vistas de Las Olas East Date: Jul 16, 2008  My girlfriend and I were the first to stay here back in 10-2004, and it was fantastic, even though some of the amenities weren't even in place yet. I plan to return again this October and am looking forward to staying there again. Be warned, however, as the property is close to some real mansions on the beach that will leave you shaking your head in amazement. This place is just perfect for two people, though.
